Upside Down Crab Bucket is a wellness center on a mission to provide a sense of support and safety for Jews, their allies, and the communities around them, to stop the defamation of the Jewish people, and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. To accomplish this, we provide educational courses, health and wellness services, and networking events for professionals, students, and the public at large. We’re striving to be a literal one-stop-shop for our clients’ mental, physical, and financial wellbeing. 

Our in-house Marketing Department has an opening for a remote Grant Writer with potential to meet up on occasion at our Philadelphia location.

 

Co-op Requirements & Responsibilities Include:

  • A skilled and motivated existing college student or recent college grad who is responsible, has good time management, and can work well independently

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of computer and subject matter competency

  • Be motivated, organized, willing to help with any project no matter how large or small, and can balance multiple priorities at once
  • Have a strong desire to make a difference, a passion for the UDCB mission, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor
  • Create and Maintain a Grant Calendar that shows when a grant application and or report is due and the contact information
  • Work with CEO to identify areas of need where a grant would help solve the problem or fill a need
  • Research and help write, review, and edit all affiliate grant proposals
  • Review the funder website printed application guidelines and determine the mission alignments of a potential funder
  • Learn how to communicate with interested parties about what we do in person, via telephone, and e-mail
  • Work with staff to engage in outreach to local newspapers, news stations, and radio stations

Very importantly, you have a strong understanding that selective humanity is wrong, and you are eager to deepen your understanding of the Israeli perspective to come to your own conclusions.
